18th Global Advanced Management Programme

AIMA conducted the 18th edition of its highly popular programme, the Global Advanced Management Programme (GAMP), in Silicon Valley from June 25th to July 1st, 2023 on the theme ‘Expanding Markets by Leveraging Emerging Technologies’. Professor Solomon Darwin, the Executive Director of the Garwood School of Innovation at the Haas School of Innovation in the University of California, Berkeley, served as the Programme Director.

This year, GAMP witnessed participation from several leading Indian companies, including Tata Steel, NTPC, TCI Supply Chain Solutions, Rallis India, GAIL, CavinKare, and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. Many senior executives from these organisations took part in a meticulously designed programme which focused on ‘Open Innovation’ through classroom lectures, site visits to some of the most innovative companies in the Valley, and also engaged with numerous thought leaders and futurists.

The delegates were exposed to the Business Remodeling process, which broadened their perspectives and introduced them to a world of opportunities and possibilities. Some of the iconic companies visited by the delegates included Google, Intel Innovation Centre, NVIDIA, Wipro Innovation Centre, Planet Labs, Berkeley SkyDeck, Cisco Innovation Centre, Siemens, Wipro Innovation Centre amongst others. The programme also included visits to the Computer History Museum and the Bay Ecotarium. In addition, the delegation was addressed by distinguished speakers including Mr. PK Aggarwal, Dean of UC Santa Cruz Silicon Valley Campus & Former CTO of California State; Dr. Jim Spohrer, Member of the Board of Directors of the International Society of Service Innovation Professionals (ISSIP) and ServCollab and Mr. Prith Banerjee, Chief Technology Officer at Ansys.

The executives presented reworked Business Models for their companies to a high-profile jury from Silicon Valley. The programme concluded with the participants receiving certificates from Ms Rekha Sethi, the Director General of AIMA.
