AIMA National Shaping Young Minds Programme, 25th August 2021

AIMA has been running a very unique programme for young people called the ‘Shaping Young Minds Programme’ (SYMP). The programme provides a platform for young professionals and management students to interact with iconic leaders from various fields, where these leaders talk about their lives, their successes and more importantly – their failures. The first time ever, National Shaping Young Minds Programme was organized on 25th August 2021. The participation at the National SYMP was overwhelming with students joining from across the country, joining the proceedings on the AIMA platform and social media channels. Twenty Four Local Management Associations of AIMA partnered for this unique event. Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA, gave the introductory remarks. Mr Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman, Hero Enterprise & Past President AIMA, Mr Piyush Pandey, Chief Creative Officer Worldwide and Executive Chairman India, Ogilvy; Mr T V Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Manipal Global Education Services Private Limited and Past President, AIMA and Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, renowned Sarod Maestro were the eminent speakers. The sessions were moderated by Mr Pranjal Sharma, Author, Economic Analyst and Columnist; Mr Shrinivas V Dempo, Vice President, AIMA & Chairman, Dempo Group of Companies, Ms Syna Dehnugara, CBO, LetsVenture, Features Editor, CNBCTV18, Co-author of Young Turks & YLC Co-Chair Tech Startup and Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA respectively. The speakers shared their journey to success ; their challenges, opportunities met and failures faced in the process. They emphasized on how the key to success is in being determined, focused and resilient. The speakers also shared how these challenges faces shaped them in to becoming better professionals. The programme was a learning experience for the participants and all went back motivated and inspired listening to the speakers.

AIMA National Shaping Young Minds Programme, 26th August 2022

The second online version of the National SYMP was held on 26th August 2022. The speakers who addressed the session included Dr K Radhakrishnan, Former Chairman, Space Commission/Secretary, Department of Space & Chairman, ISRO; Mr Shiv Shivakumar, Group Executive President, Strategy and Business Development, Aditya Birla Group & Past President, AIMA; Ms Shereen Bhan, Managing Editor, CNBC-TV18 and Mr Sanjiv Mehta, CEO and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited. The session chairs for respective sessions were Mr Shiv Siddhant Narayan Kaul, Managing Director, NICCO, Engineering Services Ltd and Honorary Consul General of The Republic of Korea in Kolkata; Mr Pranjal Sharma, Author, Economic Analyst & Columnist; Mr Shrinivas Dempo, Chairman, Dempo Group of Companies & Senior Vice President, AIMA; Mr Nikhil Sawhney, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Triveni Turbine Limited, Director, Triveni Engineering and Industries Limited & Vice President, AIMA. Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA delivered the special address and 25 Local Management Associations partnered with AIMA for this unique event with a participation of over 12,000 on various AIMA platforms.

Online SYMP with Calcutta Management Association in 2021

Given the pandemic, an online version of the Shaping Young Minds Programme in collaboration with Calcutta Management Association was conducted on 13th March 2021. The speakers who addressed included Mr Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder and Vice Chairman, Info Edge India Limited with Mr Jimmy Tangree, Head, 91.9 Friends FM, Kolkata as session chair and Mr Deep Kalra, Founder & Group Executive Chairman, Make My Trip Limited with Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA as session chair. Over 1500 students and young professionals attended the session on various social media platforms of AIMA.
