Mr Nikhil Sawhney is AIMA President for 2023-24

Mr TV Narendran of Tata Steel is AIMA's new Vice President

Mr Nikhil Sawhney, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Triveni Turbines Ltd, has taken over the presidency of All India Management Association (AIMA) for 2023-24. He succeeds Mr Shrinivas Dempo, Chairman, Dempo Group of Companies.

Mr Sawhney is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Triveni Turbine Limited and a Director with Triveni Engineering and Industries Limited. He has worked in the fields of investment banking and consumer goods in the UK and the USA before joining Triveni Engineering in 1999. He has overseen key functions in the company, including corporate affairs, communications, and investor relations. He has run Triveni Group's diverse businesses, including turbines and sugar. Mr Sawhney was ranked as one of India's forty 'hottest' business leaders under 40 by The Economic Times in 2015.

Mr Sawhney helped found the CII-Triveni Water Institute. He is also  an active trustee of Tirath Ram Shah Charitable Hospital and Emmanuel College India Trust, and he is a Fellow of the Aspen Institute of India and the Aspen Global Leadership Network. He is the Co-Chair of Ananta Aspen-led India-Israel Forum.

Mr Sawhney has a Bachelor's degree in Arts and a Master's degree in Arts from Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, and a Master's degree in Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Ms Suneeta Reddy is the Senior Vice President of AIMA for 2023-24. Ms Reddy is a member of the founding family of Apollo Hospitals Group and she is currently its Managing Director. Since joining the group in 1989, she has spearheaded the fund-raising and investment decisions of the group. As Managing Director, she steers corporate strategy, acquisitions, and operations, while continuing to oversee finance. Ms Reddy was featured among the top four in Fortune India’s list of Most Powerful Women for many years and she received the Businesswoman of the Year Award 2020 from the Economic Times.

Ms Reddy is a patron member of India International Chamber of Commerce, a member of the CII National Council and Healthcare Council and part of its Family Business Council. She is a member of the South Asia Advisory Board, Harvard Business School, a member of the governing board of Sai University, a member of CNBC International’s Global Sustainability Forum, and she represents Apollo Hospitals as a founding member of the Global Parity Alliance of the World Economic Forum in India.

Ms Reddy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations, Economics and Marketing from Stella Maris College in Chennai. She holds a Diploma in Financial Management from the Institute of Financial Management and Research, Chennai and has completed the Owner / President Management Program at Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.

Mr T V Narendran is the new face in AIMA's leadership. He has joined AIMA as its Vice President. He is the CEO & Managing Director of Tata Steel Limited. He is on the board of the company and he is the Chairman of Tata Steel Europe. He is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of the World Steel Association, and he has been the co-chair of the Mining & Metals Governors Council of the World Economic Forum.

Mr Narendran is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of XLRI Jamshedpur and IIT Kharagpur. He is also a member of the Council of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He is a fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering. He served as the President of the Indian Institute of Metals from 2021 to 2022. He also served as the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) from 2021 to 2022.

Mr. Narendran is a Mechanical Engineer from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy and did his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta. He is a recipient of Distinguished Alumnus Awards from both NIT Trichy and IIM Calcutta. He is a Chevening Scholar and has also attended the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD, France.

Mr P Dwarkanath continues as AIMA Treasurer. He is a former Chairman of GSK Consumer Healthcare Ltd. He has also been associated with the Shriram and the Max groups. He has been the President of National Human Resources Development Network and the President of Delhi Management Association.
