About the Speaker
A specialist in the analysis of Indian foreign policy and political economy, having served as a senior journalist for over three decades. Presently, he is head of the South Asia practice of Eurasia Group and fellow at the Ananta Aspen Centre of India. He was formerly the foreign editor, Hindustan Times, and advisor to two consultancies, Rhodium Group and BowerGroupAsia. Pramit served on the National Security Advisory Board under two Indian prime ministers. He continues to advise several New Delhi-based think tanks, including the Council on Energy, Environment and Water, and the Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation. Representing India's Aspen Strategy Group, he actively engages in Track II diplomacy with the US, Japan, China, and Israel. He is a frequent participant in strategic dialogues and foreign policy forums, and his views are regularly featured in leading global and Indian publications. His work spans journalism, strategic advisory, and public policy—offering a unique perspective on India’s evolving role in the global order. He continues to contribute to policy discussions and research on South Asia’s political and economic dynamics.
