"Boosting IP Culture in MSMEs"

The issues of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) have gained extreme importance for MSMEs.

There is an urgent need to enhance the awareness of IPR amongst the MSMEs to encourage creative intellectual endeavour in the Indian economy; to take suitable measures for the protection of ideas, technological innovation and knowledge-driven business strategies developed by the MSMEs ; to provide appropriate facilities and support for protection and commercialization of Intellectual Property (IP) for the benefit of MSME sector and to assist SMEs in effective utilization of IPR Tools for technology up-gradation, market and business promotion and competitiveness enhancement.

Keeping the above in view, All India Management Association(AIMA) alongwith Ministry of MSME have organised a Virtual Conference on Awareness of Intellectual Property Rights for MSMEs on the theme "Boosting IP Culture in MSMEs" on 16-17th July,2020 on Zoom platform. The Conference will be from 1000hrs to 1330hrs on both days (16th and 17th July).

The Conference shall focus on Basic understanding of Intellectual Property Rights; Importance of IPR for MSMEs; Registration for Different kinds of IPRs; Commercializing IP and Enforcement of IPRs. There will also be a Panel Discussion on the theme "Boosting IP Culture in MSMEs".

Shri Panneer Selvam, Principal Director, MSME Technology Development Centre, PPDC, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India has consented to be the Chief Guest and give the Inaugural Address.
