3rd HR Power Workshop

AIMA organised its 3rd HR Power Workshop in Kolkata on 28th February &1st March at Taj Taal Kutir, Kolkata , that provided HR practitioners with opportunities to network, learn and explore innovative strategies for transforming businesses and tackling HR challenges, while cultivating team creativity and learning about the latest trends and best practices. The Inaugural Session began with a welcome address by Mr Neeraj Kapoor. Mr SY Siddiqui, Chairman, AIMA HR Core Committee & Former Executive Advisor, Maruti Suzuki, set the context followed by the Chairman’s Address from Programme Chairman, Mr Vinay Ranjan, Director Personnel & IR, Coal India Ltd. An engaging workshop on cultivating leadership skills across levels by Dr John Mathai, Member Secretary, Damodar Valley Corporation and Mr Suman Banerjee, CHRO, ABP Pvt Ltd followed next, that provided tools to identify, nurture, and empower leaders, creating a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Another insightful workshop on ‘AI / Gen AI in HR’ by Ms. Anjali Mittal, Project Leader, Boston Consulting Group, explored role of AI and Gen AI in strategic HR focusing on recruitment, performance analysis L&D through real case studies. A session on 'HR Transformation in BANI World' led by Mr Amitav Mukherji, EVP & Head of Corporate HR, ITC Ltd and Mr SY Siddiqui, focused on strategies for HR transformation, addressing the challenges of uncertainty and complexity in the BANI (Brittleness, Anxiety, Non-linearity, and Incompleteness) world. Mr Adhip Pal Chaudhuri, CMD, Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd and Programme Chairman, Vinay Ranjan, Director Personnel & IR, Coal India Ltd addressed the session on HR’s evolving role in the boardroom, focusing on strategy, culture and success.
A workshop on the challenge of managing multi-generational workforce by Mr Salil Lal, Executive Officer & CHRO, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd and Mr SY Siddiqui highlighted understanding generational differences, collaboration and mentoring for an inclusive work environment. Mr Tushar Chakraborty, Director Consulting, Deloitte led a workshop on 'New Workplace, Future of Work & Emerging Skills' that explored the evolving workplace, focusing on remote collaboration, digitalisation, and future work skills. The session on employee wellness addressed by Mr Vinay Ranjan; Mr Biplob Banerjee, CHRO, Emami Ltd and Dr Jai Ranjan Ram, Senior Consultant Psychiatry, Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals focused on promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being in the workplace. Mr Vinay Ranjan and Mr Siddiqui concluded the Workshop by offering a vote of thanks to all the speakers and delegates for making the event a grand success.

Transformational HR: Catalyst for the Future Organisation

AIMA organised the 2nd edition of its HR Power Workshop in Mumbai on 28th and 29th November. Mr KS Shetty, Programme Chairman & Director HR, HPCL chaired the workshop, and addressing the same were many distinguished Speakers. The workshop offered HR professionals a chance to network, learn, and explore innovative strategies for business transformation. Its unique approach blended theory, practical applications, and case studies to address HR challenges and enhance creativity.
The workshop began with a welcome address by Mr. Neeraj Kapoor, Director, AIMA followed by Mr SY Siddiqui, Chairman, AIMA HR Core Committee & Former Executive Advisor, Maruti Suzuki setting the context. Mr. KS Shetty then gave the Chairman’s Address, and Mr Anil K Khandelwal, Former Chairman & MD, Bank of Baroda delivered the keynote address. The HR Best Practices Case Study Contest was held online prior to the workshop, where PSU and private companies showcased their case studies to a distinguished jury. The winners were recognised at the workshop and given the opportunity to present their projects to the audience. The workshop brought together HR leaders and experts, offering valuable insights and facilitating networking and collaboration, and was well-received by the attending delegates.
