About the Competition

Welcome to AIMA’s 52nd National Competition for Young Managers (NCYM).

This prestigious national-level platform recognises competitive excellence among young corporate leaders, providing them with an unparalleled opportunity to hone their analytical, creative thinking, problem-solving, team-working, and leadership skills.

NCYM has often been called the cradle of CEOs as it serves as a vital tool for organisations looking to groom their young and bright managers for higher responsibilities.

Celebrating Best Practices across 4 different functions

  1. Manufacturing: Smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0 applications, lean methodologies and quality benchmarking.
  2. Operations & Supply Chain: Next-generation logistics, agility, resilience and distribution breakthroughs.
  3. Digital & AI: Automation, data-driven decision-making, tech integration and digital business transformation.
  4. Sales & Marketing: Customer-centric strategies, market expansion, branding excellence and modern consumer engagement.

Case Study Presentation Format

Teams of 2/3 members showcase how young managers in their organisation are spearheading initiatives in their domains and driving measurable impact and steering their companies toward long-term success.

Pedagogy & Presentation Guidelines

  • Concise Execution: Presentations in up to maximum 10 slides. Teams should prioritise high-impact data points and present a clear, logical flow of their organisation's transformation journey.
  • Time Limit: Each team will get 15 minutes for oral presentation, followed by a Q&A session with the panel of judges for 5 minutes.
  • Team Dynamics: All team members must actively participate in delivering the presentation.
  • Time Tracking: A reminder will be given at the 13-minute mark. Exceeding the 15-minute threshold will attract negative marking.
