RETREAT BACKGROUND

This is women's century! Women are becoming increasingly prominent in the economy, and women CEOs and board members are now more readily expected and accepted than ever before. However, women still remain underrepre- sented in leadership roles, and there is a pressing need to expand and deepen the pool of women's leadership talent. The key to achieving this is to encourage more women to aspire to leadership positions and actively compete for them. Women must actively pursue leadership roles because power is never bestowed freely; it must be seized. To be recognised as leaders, women must actively pursue challenging assignments, pursue learning relentlessly, and culti- vate a personal brand. It's crucial to showcase successful women achievers more prominently to inspire others to follow their ambition, behaviour, and success. The world is ready for women leaders, and women must be ready too.
