Syed Afsar
Head – Business Development
Mr Syed Afsar is the Head – Business Development. He is a management graduate with over 25 years of experience in Corporate Sales, Marketing Communications and Key Account handling credentials.
Prior to joining AIMA, Syed has worked with Thomas International Publishing Company India (a subsidiary of Thomas International Publishing Company, Inc. New York) for over 12 years as Vice President - Sales & Marketing. During this tenure he managed the advertising sales function of the Indian operation for all its Print and Online publications with the sales team spread across the country. He was responsible for the implementation and growth of its digital media segment significantly in less than a year of its launch in the Indian market.
Syed started his career at Larsen & Toubro Limited, Mumbai in the year 1985. Later, in the year 1988 he moved to Delhi to join UDI - the first Yellow Pages publishing company in India, in Corporate Sales. In the year 1991, he took a plunge to become an entrepreneur by starting a design company – specializing in Graphics & Exhibition design namely Design Dialogues India Private Limited with a team of design professionals in Visual Communication and successfully managed the design outfit for over 10 years.
