Sri Sri Ravishankar to launch India’s own social media platform in July

20 May 2020, New Delhi

Sri Sri Ravishankar’s organization Art of Living (AOL) is set to launch an Indian social media platform on 5 July 2020. Called Elyment, it will combine all the elements of the existing social media platforms and will include shopping and payment facilities too. It will also add video conferencing utility soon. This all-in-one platform will have its servers in India. This was revealed by Sri Sri Ravishankar during an online dialogue with India’s leading CEOs. The dialogue was organized by All India Management’s as part of its ongoing LeaderSpeak series. “Your data is safe with us. Nobody can hack our social media platform,” Sri Sri said.

Advising the audience about dealing with anxiety caused by Covid and lockdowns, Sri Sri Ravishankar said that meditation will overcome all challenges. He said that people were doing mediation and Sudarshan Kriya and enjoying the lockdown.

Sunil Kant Munjal, Past President, AIMA and Chairman Hero Enterprise moderated the dialogue. He said that one must not let this crisis go to waste and rethink their philosophy and behaviour.

Sudhir Jalan, Past President, AIMA and Chairman Neo Foods, asked about the growing unemployment in the country. Sri Sri replied that there would always be some pain when a child is born. “A new system is being created in the country and some pain will be there, but India will emerge stronger economically and spiritually,” he said. He remarked that Covid was an opportunity for a new world order.

Preetha Reddy, Past President, AIMA and Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals stressed that alongwith the Covid pandemic, there was also a fear pandemic. Sri Sri Ravishankar pointed out that this was the first time that the doctors were worried about their own lives while treating the patients.

R Mukundan, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Chemicals talked about the fear of change in the post Covid world. Sri Sri said that pranayama will help overcome the fear of change.

TV Mohandas Pai, Past President, AIMA and Chairman, Manipal Global Education asked how one could reconcile the urge to build a great economy and also resist the pursuit of consumption. Sri Sri Ravishankar replied that one must have the drive to work for the country but one must also look after the apparatus that is required to do so.

P Dwarkanath, Chairman, GSK Consumer Healthcare pointed out that working from home was beginning to take a toll on women employees, as office work was intruding on their personal time. “Remote work has no fixed hours,” he said. Sri Sri advised doing meditation and having faith that all will be well.

The dialogue ended with a meditation session led by Sri Sri Ravishankar.
