AIMA MSME Initiatives

AIMA has been encouraging SMEs (Small & Medium Enterprises) to enhance their managerial capabilities and use management tools for their growth and development. AIMA MSME Division has been spearheading its efforts to enhance the capacity of MSME’s through:

  • Annual MSME Conventions cum exhibitions.
  • Capacity Building programmes focusing on areas such as finance and credit, technology tools, modern marketing methods, innovation, public procurement etc. and 40 such programmes have been organized by AIMA alongwith the support of the respective Local Management Associations.
  • The AIMA –Dr J S Juneja Award for Creativity and Innovation for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which is given every year to the deserving SME at our Foundation Day in February, since 2003.
  • Being Implementing Partner for Quality Council of India for their Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) awareness programme.
  • Conduct of Survey/Studies on the MSME Sector.

 

9th North East MSME Convention, 2019

AIMA is holding its 9th North East MSME Convention at Guwahati on the theme “Creating Innovative SMEs in the North East” on 5-6th December, 2019 alongwith Guwahati Management Association and supported by Federation of Industry & Commerce for the North East Region (FINER), at the NEDFi Convention Centre, NEDFi House, Guwahati.

During the Convention, there will be a Special Session on the theme “Unleashing North East Region’s MSME Potential“ and will also have an exhibition showcasing products of SMEs of the Northeastern region.

Mr Conrad K Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya has consented to Address the Convention in the Inaugural session.

Mr Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam and Mr N Biren Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur have also been invited to address the Convention.

The Convention is a flagship event which will deliberate on the challenges and opportunities that await the MSME Sector in India, focusing on the North East region, Conducted over 2 days, the Convention attracts around 250 delegates from industry, government, media and academia.

8th National MSME Convention

The 8th AIMA MSME Convention was held on 6-7th September,2018 at Hyderabad in partnership with the NI-MSME, Govt. of India, Ministry of MSME; Federation of Telangana Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries( FTAPCCI) and Hyderabad Management Association.

The Convention was inaugurated by Dr. Arun Kumar Panda, IAS, Secretary to Govt. of India, Ministry of MSME.

All India Management Association (AIMA) has been spearheading its efforts to enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs through Entrepreneurial capacity building programmes and has been conducting MSME Conventions to address these issues and more. These Conventions have been held previously in Delhi, Chennai, Guwahati and Ahmedabad and have helped MSMEs to come together, appreciate their place and role in the national economy, and formulate an agenda for progress.

The 7th AIMA MSME Convention was held on 27 -28 July, 2017 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The theme of the Convention was “The Fourth Industrial Revolution: Challenges & Opportunities for SME’s”. The Convention was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr Sunil Kant Munjal, President, AIMA and Chairman, The Hero Enterprise and steered by Dr. J S Juneja , Chairman AIMA SME Committee & Past President, AIMA.
