5th HR Leadership Retreat
"HR in the Digital World"
17th – 19th June, 2016, Vivanta by Taj, Fort Aguada, Goa

AIMA organized its 5th HR Leadership Retreat in Goa from 17th to 19th June, 2016 at Goa with the theme "HR in the Digital World". The retreat was led by Mr T V Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Manipal Global Education.

The retreat was structured on the thought that digital and internet technologies have radically changed the way we work, requiring a tremendous change in all areas of human resources. With technologies evolving every day, human resources professionals are realising that the fast-paced, ever-changing digital world impacts their jobs and workplaces—not only today, but in the future.

Digital technology has put information power in the hands of individuals, and they're not going to give it back. Enterprises can no longer dictate how they'll interact with people. Therefore HR must reorient its processes and systems to put people at the center.

Considering the above imperative, the retreat was designed to learn from the experiences of successful leaders and organisations on how to efficiently meet the needs of a changing, complex market and develop leaders both for business and HR in this new digital paradigm shift.

The eminent speakers who shared their thoughts were:
  • Richard Rekhy, Chief Executive Officer, KPMG in India
  • Rajesh Magow, Co-Founder & CEO – India, MakeMyTrip India Pvt. Ltd
  • Sandip Sen, Global CEO, Aegis Limited
  • S Chandrasekhar, President & Global Head of HR, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd
  • Rajeev Bhadauria, Director Group HR, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd
  • Thiru A Thirunavukkarasu, President HR, JK Organisation
  • Richard Lobo, Senior Vice President and Head HR, Infosys
This leadership retreat provided a direction to the HR leaders playing a strategic role in the digitalisation of their company. The retreat concluded well and got some excellent feedback on the content and the speaker - which was thought provoking and interactive.
