Given this scenario, the role of CMO and marketing team is evolving and more complex today. Against this backdrop of the empowered consumer, AIMA organised its 5th Marketing Retreat in Goa from 04 -06 August, 2017

The theme of the Retreat was “Are Brands Dead in the Digital World?”

AIMA’s Marketing Retreat every year gives an opportunity to share and learn from practicing managers, drawn from different industries, on how they scaled the challenges encountered by their organisations in the era of digitally empowered and connected customer. The idea is also to engage the delegates who face these dilemmas on a daily basis as part of their work.

AIMA's 4th Marketing Retreat
"Marketing to the Empowered Consumer"

The incredible velocity of change is the most challenging aspect of marketing today. Information is power, and we've moved from the age of mass marketing to the age of the empowered consumer. Technology has given consumers more choice, reducing the power of traditional media in some markets, fragmenting audiences and creating a much more complex landscape for messages to navigate. In this brave new world of empowered consumers, the key factor for marketers is to experiment new things, and do it fast. The New World Of The 'Empowered Consumer' demands to learn fast, fail fast, but most importantly, keep on adjusting and improving.
 
Against this backdrop of the empowered consumer, AIMA's organised its 4th edition of the Marketing Retreat 2016 in Goa, from 19-21 August, 2016. The theme of the Retreat was "Marketing to the Empowered Consumer".
