AIMA organised its 8th National Leadership Conclave in a hybrid mode on 11th April 2023 at New Delhi on the theme ‘Mission 2047: India’s tryst with a new destiny’, where dignitaries from various fields discussed how India is on the cusp of becoming a global force to reckon with.
Mr Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Government India addressed the inaugural session via a video message where he said, “I appreciate that AIMA is always taking up current and emerging national issues. For many years, the National Leadership Conclave has been a premiere forum for considering India’s challenges, opportunities, issues and strategies. I commend AIMA for focussing this year’s leadership conclave on India’s new destiny as the country marches towards its century year in 2047.” Mr Shrinivas Dempo, President, AIMA and Chairman, Dempo Group of Companies; Mr Nikhil Sawhney, Senior Vice President, AIMA and Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Triveni Turbine Ltd and Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA set the tone for discussions on India’s Mission 2047 at the inaugural session.

The conclave was physically attended by more than 350 delegates from industry, government, media and academia. Live streaming on AIMA’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channels also increased viewership by several thousand and crossed over 2.75 lacs views on all platforms.
AIMA organised its 7th National Leadership Conclave in a hybrid mode on 12th April 2022 at New Delhi on the theme ‘A New Thrust: Reimagine, Reform, Redesign, Rebuild’. The discussions focused on the challenges faced by Indian enterprises and the role of the management leaders in rejuvenating and transforming the Indian business and economy.

The AIMA KPMG Management Capability Development Index India 2022 Report - AIMA’s sixth such initiative - was also released at the event. The report measures and evaluates management capability across industries and sectors.

AIMA organised its 6th National Leadership Conclave on 19-20 April 2021 online on a specially curated digital platform. The theme for the Conclave was ‘The Big Disruption: Leadership in the post- Covid world’. Mr Sunil Kant Munjal, Past President, AIMA and Chairman, Hero Enterprise and Mr Sanjiv Goneka, Chairman, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group were the Conclave Co-Chairs. The two-day conclave was addressed by iconic leaders, policymakers, global thought leaders and eminent speakers. Mr Harsh Pati Singhania, President, AIMA & Vice Chairman & Managing Director, JK Paper Ltd delivered the welcome address. Mr Sunil Kant Munjal conducted the conversation with Dr S Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, Government of India and Mr Sanjiv Goenka introduced the minister.
Dr Jaishankar said that there was a lot of business to be done by India with each of the QUAD countries, and there would be others too, including the UK, France and the EU. "By and large, the world trusts us, and it is time for us to step up," he said, adding that India is a good platform for global production. He also added that the pandemic was a wake-up call for India to change its development and business models advocating Atmanirbhar Bharat which was employment centric providing more capacity and more possibilities.
Mr Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons who has written the book 'Bridgital Nation: Solving Technology's People Problem', said that India's two biggest problems were access to resources and jobs, and technology could solve both the problems. He had a fireside chat with Mr Vikram Chandra Founder, Editorji Technologies. Mr Harsh Pati Singhania introduced the session.
